Tanvir Mokammel Joins Respected Jury Panel at NEFVTA 2023 Fest
Acclaimed Bangladeshi filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel will join the jury panel at the 2nd NEFVTA International Short Film Festival-2023. The North East Film & Video Technicians Association (NEFVTA) organizes the festival. It will take place on December 24th and 25th in Jyotichitraban, Kahilipara, Guwahati, Assam, India.
NEFVTA, a prominent cine workers association in Northeast India, has invited Tanvir Mokammel to be a part of the competition section of the festival.
Mokammel’s significant contributions have earned him renown in Bangladeshi cinema. He has won the Bangladesh National Film Awards ten times and also received the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2017. He currently heads the Bangladesh Film Institute (BFI) in Dhaka.
The festival aims to inspire filmmakers and young creatives with innovative ideas. It will also feature a showcase of short films, uniting cinema enthusiasts and professionals in a celebration of cinematic art. Mokammel, with his extensive experience in film, will significantly enhance the event through his active participation as a jury member.
